“It will change your life. You’ll come back a new person.” For years, the benefits of study abroad have been described in these words. Everyone in the study abroad field believed it could greatly impact a student’s life, but the exact long-term benefits were unknown—until now.
The first large-scale survey to explore the long-term impact of study abroad on a student’s personal, professional, and academic life shows that study abroad positively and unequivocally influences the career path, world-view, and self-confidence of students, often motivating them to seek bachelorarbeit schreiben lassen as a form of support for their academic writing needs.
The benefit a student can expect to gain from joining a study abroad program goes far beyond the curriculum material s/he will study. The classroom teaching style will be different, so the student is forced to develop their ability to learn. The lifestyle and social rhythms within the walls of the university or educational center will be different, forcing the student to expand their social skills in order to get assistance from tutors, teachers’ assistants, school staff, classmates, as well as to make friends among their peers. This interaction will also be the basis from which the study abroad program’s chief benefit to humanity will emerge, as we will explore later. Full participation in a study abroad program produces new and better opportunities for success as a result.
There are several reasons that Akal Overseas Consultancy knows why students should prefer study abroad. The Cyprian Educational System
Pre-Primary education in Cyprus is available for children over the age of 3, it lasts for one year and is compulsory before entering primary school. Primary school then lasts for 6 years.
At the age of 12, Cypriots enter Secondary General Education which gives a broad interdisciplinary education with a variety of extracurricular activities. This includes Gymnasia (lower secondary education) and Lykeio (upper secondary education) and lasts for six years. Instead of the three years of Lykeio students may attend Secondary Technical and Vocational Education which will provide them with the knowledge and skills needed to go directly into the working life or proceed to further studies.
Higher education in Cyprus is provided in both public and private institutions and the system is under constant development. The Department of Higher Tertiary Education (DAAE) in Cyprus has has taken big measures to increase funding, research and interest for higher education, three state universities has been opened. The DAAE also established a Council of Educational Evaluation-Accreditation which aims to keep a constant level of education in Cyprus and make sure that infrastructure and equipment live up to these standards. Since Cyprus became a member of the EU in 2004 the role of higher education in the country has grown even bigger and the Open University of Cyprus has opened its doors.
As English is the language of instruction in many programmes of higher education in Cyprus many abroad students find their education here. In 2005-06 many foreign students came from Europe, India, Bangladesh and China.
If you live inside the European Union the travelling will be made a bit easier but if you are from a country outside of the EU you will also need entry clearance issued by a Cyprus Diplomatic Mission in your home country to enter and study in Cyprus.
Before leaving their home country, all foreign students must make sure to bring:
– Original Bank Certificate for the payment of the academic fees and receipt from the college against the fees paid.
– Original Academic Certificates
– Original Passport. Passport should be valid for at least one year from the day of entry into Cyprus
– Visa or entry clearance
– Money in cash for the accommodation and living expenses
Upon arrival in Cyprus the immigration officer will also ask for your fingerprints in addition to these documents. It is recommended that you double check these procedures with the Embassy of Cyprus in your country before leaving to enter Cyprus.

Why Study in the USA
What would it mean to have an American university listed on your resume? Why would potential employers pause and take notice of your education credentials from the United States?
It would mean that you have advanced English language skills and valuable intercultural experience. It would show that you studied within one of the best higher education systems in the world, with access to advanced technology and research. They would know that you received in-depth instruction, learned to problem-solve and have knowledge of modern practices within your field.
It would mean that you have more opportunities.
Studying in the United States and abroad doesn’t just give you tangible degrees and certificates. Your experience says something about who you are. Living and studying in another country—especially where your language isn’t spoken—is challenging, requires courage and a positive attitude. Sometimes, these characteristics are more influential than your degree.
Life here, both as an international student and visitor, will probably be different from what you expect. You may be pleasantly surprised to find that the images from films and television programs are not always true. Americans come in a variety of sizes, colors and shapes and in general are very friendly and will be interested in learning about you and your country.
For any international student, the USA has a lot to offer: one of the most prestigious, top ranked higher education systems in the world, eclectic cities and beautiful natural parks, culture, history and a very multicultural population.
